PLAYING IN PARTNERSHIP.
It frequently happens in this game, as well as at whist, that three
secret partners will be playing against one whom they have seduced into
a game; and they have an advantage here that they do not have in whist,
as they can play four-handed, and still be in no visible partnership;
but they always play into one another's hands, as it matters not which
of them wins, they being partners. This is frequently done also by two
against one, playing three-handed.
